KABOBfest Doesn't Support Peace

How else do you explain (1) Fadi mocking Palestinians for negotiating with Israelis, and (2) NarcelX mocking Jews for negotiating with Persians?

Other than negotiation, the only other solution to the Mid-East's turmoil is a military one. It is, then, fair to assume that KABOBfest supports war and is anti-peace. Makes one wonder what kind of "activists" they really are...

DID HELL JUST FREEZE OVER?

I actually agree with a KABOBfest! Diana's most recent post, "On Politics & Prose," is FANTASTIC! Oh... wait... something just dripped on my head. Oh damn, it's water. Must be the ice melting... CAUSE KABOBfest DIDN'T WRITE IT!

Anyway, the post -- which is actually an op-ed by UCLA professor Saree Makdisi -- discusses how destructive the stifling of conversation surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict can be.

Apparently KABOBfest now believes in freedom of speech and honoring all points of view.

But wait. Wasn't Will's alleged reason for booting me from KABOBfest because he thought I crossed the line with one of my posts? HYPOCRITES!!

KABOBfest Insults Jewish Solidarity Activists

As if progressive leftist Jews don't catch enough heat from the Jewish community for supporting justice for Palestinians, KABOBfest had to slap them in the face with the "sell out" card today.

In KABOBfest's most recent poll, "Readers Respond: Sugarman is a Hot Yahoodi Stud," Will labels the blog's token Jew, Chaim Sugarman, a "Pro-Arab Sell-Out." Even worse, 17% of KABOBfest's racist readership agrees with him!

No doubt the poll has left countless Jewish solidarity activists insulted. Even Chaim Sugarman took issue with the poll:

This is a new all-time low for the fest. In addition to poisoning people's minds with their immature diatribes on the Arab world, they're now causing actual damage to the Palestinian struggle.

And the bigotry doesn't end there. Fadi, KABOBfest's self-hating Palestinian Christian blogger, follows the KABOBpoll with a post entitled "Self-Hating Jews." As far as I'm concerned, KABOBfest = anti-Semitism.

Fadi Disgraces the Memory of Deir Yassin

Fadi marked the 60 year anniversary of the Deir Yassin Massacre with a post entitled, "Remember Deir Yassin." The post consisted of the following picture and caption...

We will never forget, until return.

That's nice and heartfelt, right? EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT FADI CAN'T "REMEMBER" DEIR YASSIN BECAUSE HE WASN'T ALIVE WHEN IT HAPPENED!!

At best, Fadi can honor those that died during the massacre, but he certainly can't "remember" it! This is just another example of the KABOBfest propaganda machine working to make their blog appear more credible than it really is. What a disgrace!

The staff of NPR/PRI’s financial program packed their bags and traveled to the Middle East in order to report from one of the world’s fastest growing economies -- for a few days at least. Believe it or not, there is enough of a story there to fill a couple of weeks worth of programming. After all, there’s more to the Middle East than just oil.

[Editor’s Note: Lacking an interesting transitional sentence, Fayyad now takes a lame and unrelated (yet typical) dig at Zionists in order to inform KABOBfest’s readership that influential American institutions are interested in perusing closer ties with the Arab world.]

If reading the previous paragraph gave you a knot in the stomach, or even slightly bothered you, then you’re probably a Zionist, or some other form of racist who should seriously consider seeing a medical professional. If that’s the case, I suggest you avoid the Cleveland Clinic, as it underwrote NPR/PRI’s entire Mid-East adventure. Avoiding Harvard's Medical School would also be wise, as today’s report said it’s planning to open a branch in Dubai.

While much of NPR/PRI’s Mid-East reporting has been rooted in Cairo and Dubai, the failing Palestinian economy has also garnered much attention. Divided into a three-part series, the Marketplace team reports on the difficulty of doing business under occupation, “Olive Oil Diplomacy” (featuring the Palestinian Fair Trade Association’s co-op of olive farmers), and... [Editor’s Note: Fayyad fails to mention the third Palestine-related topic covered].

Another interesting report tackled the subject of Islam and sustainability. Is Islam a green concept? [Editor’s Note: Brace yourselves for a real knee-slapper.] I don’t think that’s why Hamas’ flag is colored as such. [Editor's Note: Sorry folks, that's about as funny as he gets.]

Best of all, the reports weren’t so simplistic that they couldn’t appeal to someone as informed about the region as I am. [Editor's Note: Someone thinks awfully high of himself.] The show’s website even donned a banner with its name in Arabic.

For the record, "Marketplace" is "Souk" in Arabic.

Because Fayyad refuses to comply with modern standard conventions of English grammar, I've decided to make "Boater Translations" a regular feature of KABOBfestWATCH. Below is a transcription of his latest post, "Offer, Counteroffer." Please note that it constitutes no direct or indirect endorsement of Fayyad or his opinions:

Yesterday, Hamas set its terms for a comprehensive truce with Israel. Its primary demand was that Israel ceases all acts of aggression towards the West Bank and Gaza. Israel, however, responded violently -- sending death squads to assassinate five Palestinians in the West Bank and launching bomb raids on the densely populated Gaza Strip.

Though some would believe that this missed opportunity for peace is the result of an unfortunate coincidence, that's simply not true. One need not look further back than 24 hours to witness similar scenarios repeat themselves time and time again. [Editor's note: It would have been wise of Fayyad to use examples to support this claim. He, however, isn't very wise.]

Silly Hamas, they must have gotten so swept up in the Israeli propaganda storm that they actually believed they constituted enough of a threat that they could dictate the terms of a truce. Will somebody tell the Knafeh Man that his rockets are only good enough for photo ops or to be represented by balloons?

The Shoah is not yet complete...

Interestingly, this post had no misspellings -- which is quite out of character for Fayyad. I assume that he's finally given up on his anti-spellcheck activism. No surprises there, he has a history of selling out (ahem... BDS).

KABOBfest Gets Analytical

Anyone else read Sama Adnan's post, "Israel's Biological Clock," and think no shit?

Not even Israel contests the fact that it must either compromise its aspirations for a Jewish-majority/Jewish-ruled state or continue to bare the consequences of Palestinian resistance.

Thanks for the late-breaking news Sama. What are you going to write about next, the sky being blue or the fact that Arabs speak Arabic? Keep the quality posts coming, they're doing wonders for KABOBfest.

More Evidence That Fadi Exists

Fadi's most recent post rants about how he doesn't exist because Facebook now lists "every Palestinian village inside of the Green Line" as Israeli. His logic, however, is 100% flawed.

To begin with, he titled the post "More Evidence That I Don't Exist." I wonder, how could he not exist if he wrote the post? Having met Fadi, I know for a fact that he does exist. Clearly, "more evidence" of a KABOBfester being purposefully misleading.

Fadi's campaign of misinformation continues with the following screenshot:

Underneath the photo, Fadi writes: "A fitting profile picture for the non-existent." No Fadi, it's actually not "fitting" at all -- because the non-existent can't create Facebook profiles. You simply took down your picture and captured an image of your screen. It's not clever. It's not witty. It's misleading.
